Fire at Hazaribagh slum under control

A fire that broke out at a slum in Dhaka's Hazaribagh area this morning has been brought under control.

The fire broke out around 11:50am and was brought under control around 12:40am by six fire engines, Rozina Akter, duty officer of the Fire Service control room told this newspaper.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, she added.
